DJ KEENAN

Keenan Orr first arrived in the house music scene in the mid-nineties, taking on DC's underground party scene. In 1997 Keenan got a job in Georgetown next to a local record shop where he would soon spend whole paychecks purchasing house records with a Chicago sound. In 2003 Keenan worked at Metatracks Studios, Washington DC's only Electronic Dance Music studio. While working at the studio he and fellow Dj, Dimitri, became involved with XM Satellite Radio. Their two hour Sunday night show, called "Launchpad", is broadcast to over two million listeners across the U.S. and Canada. In his years as a DJ, Keenan has spun from Miami to Montreal, Baltimore to Brooklyn and many cities in between. Keenan has also played alongside some of the world's most esteemed Djs including Paul Johnson, Translucent, DJ Feelgood, Afrika Bambaata, Reid Speed, Simply Jeff, Eric Davenport, Rasoul, Dieselboy, Sandra Collins, DJ Funk, DJ Irene, Skylab 2000, Rick Preston and Faust & Shortee, Zinc & DJ Dan. He has also been invited to spin on numerous radio programs which include NetMusique Radio, Afterhours.org,WRIR, WGMU Radio and Radio CPR 97.5 (DC). There is a reason why Keenan is memorable wherever he goes.
